Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get your money back on a kwtrack.com Pro subscription. It supplements (and where they conflict, governs) the billing section of our Terms of Service.

The short version. Within 7 days of your first Pro payment, email us for a full refund — no questions asked. Cancel anytime to stop future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. EU/UK consumers have additional statutory rights described below.

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you upgrade to Pro and decide it's not for you, email [email protected] from the account email within 7 calendar days of the charge. We will refund your initial Pro payment in full, no justification required. The refund is processed through Creem.io back to the original payment method.

The 7-day guarantee applies to the first Pro charge on an account. If you cancel and re-subscribe later, subsequent first-time charges are evaluated case-by-case at our reasonable discretion.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from /app/settings/subscription or by using the Customer Portal link emailed to you by Creem after checkout. Cancellation:

  • takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • does not generate an automatic refund of the current period — you keep Pro access until the period ends, then your account downgrades to Free
  • does not delete your tracked apps or keywords (Free-tier limits may force you to remove items in excess of the new limits)

If you need immediate cancellation with no further access (e.g. the account was created in error), email [email protected]; pro-rata refund of the remaining period is considered case-by-case.

Renewal Refunds

Pro renews automatically at the start of each billing period using the payment method on file. Renewals are not eligible for the 7-day money-back guarantee described above — that window applies only to the first Pro payment on an account.

If a renewal was charged because of an oversight (you meant to cancel but the email notification was missed, the card auto-charged after a long pause, etc.), email us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will, at our reasonable discretion, refund the renewal in full as a goodwill gesture and cancel the subscription. This is not a guarantee — repeated requests on the same account are not accepted.

EU / UK Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer (not a business) ordinarily resident in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from the day the contract is concluded (the day of your first Pro payment), under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights and the equivalent UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. To withdraw, email [email protected] within 14 days; no reason required.

Where this 14-day statutory window is longer than our 7-day money-back guarantee, the statutory window applies. Where you have used the Service substantially during the withdrawal period, we may deduct an amount proportional to that use, as permitted by law.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to a renewal of an existing subscription — it applies only to the initial contract.

Processing Time

Approved refunds are initiated through Creem.io within 3 business days of our confirmation. Funds typically arrive on your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days after that, depending on your card issuer and bank. International refunds and cards from less common issuers can take longer. We will let you know by email once Creem has confirmed the refund.

Taxes

Refunds include any tax (VAT/GST/sales tax) that was originally collected on the charge. Creem.io acts as the Merchant of Record and handles tax remittance worldwide; you do not need to claim back the tax separately.

Failed Payments and Dunning

If a renewal payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, bank decline), Creem will retry the charge for several days. Your account stays on Pro during this grace period. If all retries fail, your account downgrades to Free automatically; tracked items above the Free limit are paused but not deleted. Update your payment method in the Customer Portal at any time to restore Pro.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong with your subscription or a charge, please email us first at [email protected]. We respond within 3 business days and resolve almost all billing issues via direct refund — which lands faster than a chargeback and avoids fees for both sides. Disputing a charge with your bank before contacting us makes the issue harder for us to resolve and may result in suspension of the account during the dispute period.

Service Outages and Quality

kwtrack does not offer a service-level agreement (SLA) on the Pro plan at this stage. If the Service is materially unusable for an extended period, email [email protected] and we will, at our reasonable discretion, issue a goodwill credit or partial refund. We do not consider Apple's iTunes API rate limits, transient API errors, or planned maintenance windows to be outages for this purpose.

Abuse and Fraud

We may decline a refund request when there is reasonable evidence of abuse — including but not limited to repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles, automation of the Service in breach of the Terms of Service, or fraud against us or our payment processor. Where an account has been terminated for fraud, no refund is owed.

How to Request a Refund

Email [email protected] from the email address attached to your kwtrack account. Helpful information to include (not required, but speeds things up):

  • the date of the Pro charge you want refunded;
  • the last four digits of the card (visible in your Creem receipt);
  • a one-line reason if you are happy to share — feedback helps us, but is never a condition of the refund.

We confirm receipt within 3 business days and process the refund as described in "Processing Time" above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes that reduce existing protections will be highlighted on the homepage and in your subscription page at least 30 days before they take effect.
